What you will do:
- Lead the Planning Policy team to develop, implement, and review planning strategies and policies that align with local development plans
- Provide expert advice and guidance to other departments, local authorities, and stakeholders on planning policy matters
- Oversee research and analysis of social, economic, and environmental data to inform policy development
- Collaborate with community groups, local businesses, and government agencies to understand and integrate their needs and perspectives
- Manage team projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
- Represent the planning department at public meetings, consultations, and commissions, presenting reports and recommendations
