Role Purpose

To provide high-quality social work services within the Child Protection Team, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and protection of children. The role involves assessment, intervention planning, and multi-agency collaboration to safeguard children at risk.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans for children requiring protection

  • Collaborate with families and multi-agency partners to ensure children’s welfare is prioritised

  • Prepare reports and present evidence in court when required

  • Provide professional guidance and support to colleagues within the team

  • Apply anti-racist and trauma-informed systemic practice principles in daily work


Applicant Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant child protection experience

  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
