Band 6 Biomedical Scientist – Haematology and Transfusion

We are seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist to join our Haematology and Transfusion Team in Colchester. Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex haematological analyses using equipment including Sysmex XN, Werfen ACL TOP, and Grifols Erytra
Participate in transfusion laboratory operations, ensuring the safe and accurate provision of blood products
Maintain quality assurance and adhere to professional and departmental guidelines
Collaborate with the wider healthcare team to meet patient needs and enhance service delivery
Contribute to the training and supervision of junior staff and students
Accurately record and report test results, maintaining excellent data management practices

Requirements

HCPC registration is mandatory
Car driver is not essential but may offer convenience for commuting
