About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Support Worker to join the Children’s Residential Waking Night Team within Young People’s Supported Accommodation (YPSA) in Oxfordshire.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. You’ll work overnight to provide vital care, stability, and emotional support to children and young people, helping them feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor and assess the needs of children and young people, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being during night hours.

  • Undertake safeguarding responsibilities, escalating any concerns according to policy and procedure.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to support smooth transitions in and out of YPSA services.

  • Record observations, interventions, and incidents accurately using electronic systems.

  • Deliver person-centred care and direct interventions that promote independence, resilience, and emotional health.

  • Maintain health and safety procedures, completing checks and risk assessments as required.

  • Liaise effectively with a range of professionals to promote best outcomes for young people.
