About the Role

As a locum Senior Operations Manager, you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality Streetscene and Environmental Services, including waste and recycling, street cleansing, and winter maintenance. This is your chance to lead large-scale operational services and make a lasting impact in the local community while developing your expertise in environmental management and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the daily operations of Streetscene and Environmental Services, ensuring effective delivery across waste collection, recycling, street cleansing, and winter weather services.
Manage the operational site, ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Develop and implement operational plans to achieve service objectives and improve efficiency.
Motivate and guide a large team of staff, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Monitor budgets, resources, and service performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
Communicate confidently and effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and the public to maintain strong relationships and trust.
Use data and performance insights to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Apply your leadership skills and operational expertise, whether from a waste services, logistics, or facilities management background.
