What you will do:
- Manage a complex social work caseload with increased autonomy, including safeguarding adults
- Utilize various frameworks for assessment and intervention
- Provide mentorship and support for trainees and new employees
- Ensure regular supervision for effective practice and professional growth
- Apply comprehensive understanding and evidence-based practice in social care
- Challenge discriminatory practices appropriately and uphold equity
- Lead proactive responses to emergency safety and liberty issues
- Maintain cost-consciousness in applying available resources
- Contribute to team and service plans, aligning personal efforts with team objectives
- Ensure compliance with Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework
If you are a Senior Social Worker:
- Manage more complex caseloads with high levels of autonomy
- Offer expert guidance and professional supervision to peers
- Ensure effective caseload management and reflective practice
- Prepare detailed reports for the Court of Protection
- Chair and participate in professional and inter-agency meetings
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant experience within UK Social Services, working as a qualified Social Worker
