What you will do:

- Receive, store, and transport prescriptions while ensuring accuracy and suitability by liaising with prescribers or wards in collaboration with the ward pharmacist.
- Generate accurate medication labels and engage in monitoring programs for specific medications, such as clozapine.
- Dispense medications accurately for in-patients, out-patients, and private patients, including non-formulary, controlled, and cytotoxic drugs.
- Perform final accuracy checks on items dispensed by other staff members after completing the nationally approved Accuracy Checking Course.
- Issue dispensed items to patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring all documentation is completed and arranging counselling and advice as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and tidy dispensary and assist in stock control of drugs to the wards, following standard operating procedures.
- Take an active role in assessing and processing previously dispensed items, managing outpatient clinic boxes, and arranging sales to community pharmacies.
- Participate in the departmental stock control program and collaborate with ordering teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Receive and check incoming goods, including controlled drugs, ensuring work areas are safe, clean, and well-stocked.

Requirements:

- HCPC registration
- Minimum of 2 years' experience
- Car driver preferable
