Key Responsibilities

Conduct ward rounds and assist in patient management within the 9-bed PICU and 5-bed HDU.

Act as a core member of the Paediatric Emergency Response Team, managing emergencies including airway management, intubation, and chest drains.

Collaborate closely with PICU Surgical and Medical Consultant teams to ensure the highest standards of care.

Oversee pre- and post-operative care alongside Cardiac Surgical teams.

Participate in audits, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain clinical excellence.
Essential Criteria

GMC registration and completion of Foundation training.

Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in Paediatrics, including PICU exposure.

ALS certification and demonstrated competency in managing complex paediatric ICU cases, including emergencies.

Strong commitment to patient-centred care and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
