Overview
An exciting locum opportunity is available for a Cellular Pathology (Histology) Associate Practitioner in Bath. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate of £16.00 and the chance to work within a dynamic team in the field of histology.
You will contribute to the delivery of high-quality laboratory services, performing a variety of biomedical and histological procedures while supporting and training other healthcare science support staff.
Key Responsibilities

Perform a broad range of healthcare scientific activities, including routine and non-routine biomedical tests on histological tissues, such as microtomy, embedding, and assisting with specimen dissection.

Maintain accurate clinical records by entering patient and technical data into the laboratory computer system (Ultra).

Supervise, organise, and allocate work, taking a lead role in training other Healthcare Science support workers, including Medical Laboratory Assistants.

Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and relevant policies to ensure safe and effective practice.

Demonstrate flexibility and, following appropriate training, work proficiently across all designated areas, including Digital Pathology.
Requirements

HCPC registration is essential.

Ability to adapt to change and work across multiple areas of the laboratory.

Car driving licence preferred to support mobility across work locations.
