Job Opportunity: Children’s Social Worker - Pledge Assessment Team in Southwark, earning £TBC hourly. What you will do:

  • Conduct direct work with children, providing clear assessments of their needs and those of their families, in accordance with statutory guidance.
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans while managing caseloads as directed. Prioritise work activities and responsibilities effectively.
  • Ensure statutory responsibilities are met, including regular visits to children, arranging reviews, and reporting to court within required timescales.
  • Deliver concise and informative reports based on complex evidence.
  • Provide purposeful social work interventions with specific aims to manage risk and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other practitioners to devise plans and implement clinical interventions in varying settings, including family homes.
  • Maintain organised case records and produce comprehensive analytic reports.


This position requires some evening work and occasional travel outside London, with opportunities for weekend community activities.
