Your experience as an enquiry officer in managing complex safeguarding cases will be key. A deep understanding of critical legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 is essential, ensuring your practice is both professional and defensible.
What you will do:
- Safeguarding and Casework: Receive, screen, and triage safeguarding referrals into the Hub, determine thresholds, undertake Section 42 enquiries, and manage complex caseloads.
- Partnership and Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with police, health professionals, housing, and various agencies, attend multi-agency meetings, and contribute to MARAC and MAPPA.
- Professional Practice: Apply evidence-based practice, comply with relevant acts and protections, and promote individual choice while maintaining safety.
- Service Development: Play a role in service improvement initiatives, support policy development, and share best practices with your peers.
