Join a dynamic team as a Social Worker within the Children Looked After Team in Exeter. This exciting opportunity offers an hourly rate of £38 and is ongoing. What you will do:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children and young people in our care along with their families to achieve safety and stability.
- Model high standards of professional social work practice within a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- Conduct thorough assessments to ensure improved consistent outcomes for children and young people, avoiding drift or delay for families.
- Collaborate effectively in a multi-agency and court environment to support the best possible outcomes.
- Stay well-informed of the relevant legislation, models, and theories in children’s social work.
Skills and experience:
- A recognised social work qualification with registration from Social Work England.
- Successful completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment ASYE.
- Experience in social care, especially in a multi-agency setting and court environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong recording and planning abilities.
- A valid UK driving licence with access to a car for necessary travel to meet service needs.
