What you will do:

- Serve as the lead professional in statutory cases that include child protection, care proceedings, and looked-after children, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality and responsive social work service.
- Conduct in-depth assessments of need and risk to protect vulnerable children and support families in caring for their children.
- Work closely with families and various agencies to reduce the risk of harm and coordinate support packages for children with complex needs.
- Play a pivotal role in safeguarding decisions, attending court as required to advocate for the best interests of children.
- Collaborate with allied health and social care practitioners to create and manage a team around the child, implementing a thorough Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Review (APIR) process.

This role demands someone with a proactive attitude who can deliver positive outcomes for children and families. You must hold a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England membership. Having completed your ASYE year is essential, while a solid grasp of relevant legislation and guidance, and prior experience with both statutory and voluntary agencies, will set you apart.
