Job Title: Independent Reviewing Officer (Social Worker)

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Independent Reviewing Officer to join our vibrant team in Rochdale. If you have significant post-qualifying social work experience, preferably in a senior or Advanced Practitioner role, and possess a sound knowledge of working with Cared for Children, we want to hear from you! Our team of experienced Independent Reviewing Officers welcomes a highly skilled professional to complete Cared for Child reviews in line with the IRO handbook.

What you will do:

• Chair and facilitate reviews for children who are in care, ensuring their needs are met and their welfare is prioritised.
• Work closely with social workers, families, and other professionals to review and plan care arrangements.
• Maintain detailed records and reports in accordance with statutory guidelines and deadlines.
• Advocate for the best interests of children and ensure their voices are heard in all decisions.
• Stay informed on changes and developments in social work practice and legislation.
