What you will do:
- Conduct initial assessments and identify needs and risks for children and families.
- Participate in strategy meetings and undertake Section 47 investigations as part of safeguarding efforts.
- Develop and implement Child in Need (CIN) plans and conduct CIN reviews to monitor progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to step up or progress cases to Initial Child Protection Case Conferences (ICPCC), Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings when necessary. While PLO and court experience is a plus, it is not required.
- Engage with children and their families to provide support and intervention, ensuring their needs are met through a person-centred approach.
Flexibility:
- Embrace hybrid working arrangements, facilitating a balance between home and office presence. You are expected to be in the office every day only during your duty week occurring every 4-5 weeks.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
To succeed in this meaningful role, you will need:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant frontline experience in social services as a qualified social worker.
