What you will do:
- Conduct initial assessments to effectively evaluate the needs and risks for children and families.
- Engage in strategy meetings and undertake S47 investigations to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Develop and implement Child in Need (CIN) plans, carrying out regular reviews to ensure effective support.
- Progress cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPCC), Public Law Outline (PLO), and court proceedings when necessary. Experience in PLO and court processes is desirable but not essential.
- Work on a duty rota every 4-5 weeks, which will require daily office attendance during duty week.

Flexibility:
- Enjoy the benefits of hybrid working, with an expectation to be office-based for at least one day a week during non-duty weeks.
- Ensure all work responsibilities are fulfilled, with flexibility in managing your work location.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
- Maintain current registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrate significant frontline experience within Social Services working as a Qualified Social Worker, particularly in duty and assessment teams.
