What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide supervision and expert guidance to a small team of social care staff, ensuring high-quality, reflective practice.

  • Manage a complex caseload, offering specialist support in high-risk or sensitive situations.

  • Promote team development through training, coaching, and mentoring initiatives.

  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to drive positive change and service improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with legislation, local policies, and safeguarding procedures.

  • Represent the local authority in case conferences, court proceedings, and strategic meetings.

  • Contribute to service design and project work, promoting creative solutions that enhance outcomes.

  • Deliver person-centred care by addressing the holistic needs of children, carers, and families.


Essential Requirements:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).

  • Current registration with Social Work England.

  • Significant post-qualification experience, ideally in a senior or supervisory role within children’s or family services.

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support others in a professional setting.

  • Strong understanding of legislation, court processes, and care planning frameworks.
