What you will do:
- Plan and monitor tasks to achieve your team's business objectives within Adult Services.
- Appraise and supervise staff effectively, fostering continuous improvement in council services.
- Ensure compliance with local and national policies and legislation related to Safeguarding Adults.
- Support team members in upholding and developing high professional standards.
- Promote a strengths-based model of self-directed support, empowering service users and carers.
- Supervise staff directly, manage work allocation, and monitor performance.
- Stay financially astute while working within budgetary constraints, ensuring projects remain within financial limits.
- Develop high standards of practice and be accountable for service delivery, maintaining autonomy but reporting to the team manager.
- Liaise and work in partnership with a multi-disciplinary approach to integrate health and care across Hackney.
- Work closely with the Team Manager and Consultant Social Worker to balance development and practice work.
- Operate within a performance management and budgetary framework.
- Contribute actively to Quality Assurance Frameworks, collaborating with the Quality Assurance Team and stakeholders.
