As a Social Worker in this team, you will be engaging with new customers or those who need immediate attention and are not allocated to other teams. Your role will involve screening safeguarding referrals around two days a week and carrying out your own Section 42 enquiries as per the Care Act 2014. What you will do:
- Conduct screenings of safeguarding referrals regularly, ensuring timely and appropriate responses are in place.
- Handle Section 42 enquiries, utilizing your social work expertise to ensure thorough investigations and outcomes.
- Follow and implement the safeguarding policies and procedures specified within Bolton’s guidelines.
- Conduct MCA assessments and make Best Interests decisions where applicable.
- Collaborate effectively within the team, contributing to the collective knowledge and resource sharing.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Significant frontline experience within UK Social Services as a qualified Social Worker
