What you will do:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify risks and develop effective safeguarding plans
- Engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to protect and support vulnerable individuals
- Provide counsel and guidance to individuals and families, ensuring their voices are heard in the safeguarding process
- Maintain detailed and accurate records to support casework and decision-making
- Stay informed on legislation, such as the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, to uphold legal and ethical standards
- Conduct visits as needed, ensuring timely and effective intervention
Essential requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current registration with Social Work England
- Substantial frontline social services experience in the UK as a qualified Social Worker
- Significant recent safeguarding experience
- Legal literacy, particularly regarding the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
- Proficient IT skills, ideally with experience using Mosaic
- Ability to drive and conduct field visits as required
