What you will do:
- Provide high-quality assessment and treatment to patients in the acute stroke unit, enabling them to achieve their maximum level of independence.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Facilitate discharge planning and transitions from the hospital to community or further rehabilitation settings.
- Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and use of equipment to enhance daily living activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with NHS standards and protocols.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is essential for this role.
- Recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist within the UK healthcare system.
- Previous exposure to NHS settings, ideally dealing with stroke patients, will be highly advantageous.
- Registration with the HCPC is a must to ensure adherence to professional standards.
