This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the innovative Next Steps Team in Durham. The team plays a pivotal role in supporting pathway planning for young people aged 16 and 17 years. There are robust connections with the children looked after service and care leavers service. The team benefits from a collaborative environment with support from other professionals such as the staying close team and emotional wellbeing specialists. This is a newly established team with ambitious goals. As a Social Worker, you will primarily cover duty, which involves carrying out visits to young people and working closely with the team manager to coordinate risk management strategies when the allocated social worker is unavailable.

What you will do:

  • Conduct visits to young people to provide support and guidance in pathway planning.
