Job Title: Experienced Social Worker – Children Looked After Team
Job Location: South & West Devon - Totnes
Salary: Up to £38 Hourly
Type: Full Time, 37 Hours Per Week, Ongoing

We are on the hunt for an experienced Social Worker to join our South & West Devon team, focussing on the well-being and development of children in care. This is an ongoing position where you will work full-time to maintain positive relationships and support family-led outcomes. As a pivotal part of the team, you will ensure that children and their families achieve safety and stability in a high-pressure environment.

What you will do:
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with children, young people, and their families to deliver effective social care
- Provide high-quality assessments and ensure timely outcomes for children with minimal delays
- Demonstrate a high standard of social work practice underpinned by relevant legislation, models, and theories
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and court environment
- Utilise excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation and planning
Skills and experience required include a valid social work qualification and Social Work England registration, completion of the ASYE, and experience within social care settings. A UK driving license and access to a car are essential to meet service needs. While the role requires availability for face-to-face visits, there may be opportunities for home-working, which can be discussed further during the interview process.
