Over a 3-month period, you'll utilise your expertise to work with children aged 0-17, assessing their situations and making recommendations to improve outcomes. What you will do:
- Conduct assessments for children who may be at risk, working closely with the Police Child Abuse and Investigation Team on joint investigations as required.
- Engage directly with children and families to understand their needs, identify risks, and develop comprehensive plans to address these.
- Handle cases involving Children in Need and navigate complex scenarios where the Common Assessment Framework is not sufficient.
- Coordinate the initial stages of new Looked After episodes, ensuring thorough assessments and smooth transitions to other teams within Social Care.
- Manage cases from referral through to completion before transferring to the appropriate teams.
