Your Role & Responsibilities
As Team Manager, you will ensure the delivery of robust, child-centred statutory assessments. Your leadership will support Social Workers and Advanced Practitioners in safeguarding children and driving effective interventions.

Lead and manage a team of frontline social workers and practitioners.

Oversee the delivery of timely, high-quality statutory assessments.

Provide expert guidance on complex, high-risk cases.

Conduct case audits and reviews as part of quality assurance processes.

Collaborate with multi-agency professionals including health, police, and education.

Support team development through supervision, mentoring, and CPD planning.

Monitor and drive performance aligned with Ofsted and national standards.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications:

Degree in Social Work or equivalent
-
Registration with Social Work England
-
Management qualification (or willingness to complete one)
Experience:
-
Significant experience in statutory children’s social care
-
Strong background in assessment and safeguarding
-
Proven supervisory or team management experience
Skills & Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of legislation including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together 2018

Resilient leadership with sound decision-making under pressure
-
Skilled in performance monitoring and compliance management
