Key Responsibilities

• Perform a range of histological procedures, including basic BMS transfers and simple cut-up tasks, supporting the diagnostic and dissection workflow.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of tissue samples.

• Maintain comprehensive and compliant laboratory records in line with HCPC regulations and laboratory accreditation standards.

• Adhere to strict quality control measures and participate in audits and service improvement initiatives.

• Communicate effectively with pathologists and clinical teams to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic results.

Candidate Requirements

• HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist (Histology specialism).

• Proven experience working within a UK histopathology lab, particularly in cut-up and dissection.

• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail and high standards of practice.

• UK driving licence required to ensure flexibility in responding to local service needs.
