What you will do:

- Provide day-to-day direction and coordination of staff working in the Assessment and Support Teams.
- Offer increased managerial oversight on cases, ensuring timely and proportionate allocations and statutory assessments according to identified risks.
- Assist with the operational management of the team and advance the implementation of new initiatives alongside the Team Leader.
- Support the Team Leader in delivering high-quality services that effectively safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Allocate work, establish targets, monitor and implement training programmes, and inspire the team to achieve peak performance.
- Set standards and priorities for the team, promoting quality management standards and monitoring policies and procedures.
- Provide supervision and line management responsibility for up to two qualified social workers.

Please note: During the first two weeks, candidates will be expected to be in the office for induction purposes. Our flexible working environment supports a hybrid model, expecting employees to be in the office three times a week while allowing them to work from home twice a week.
