Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and secure handling, dispensing, and distribution of medicines in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

• Participate in quality assurance and governance systems to maintain high standards within pharmaceutical services.

• Provide ward-based clinical pharmacy services when required, contributing to patient safety and effective treatment planning.

• Support the stores and dispensary operations, including assuming responsibility in the absence of designated staff.

• Help develop and expand over-the-counter services in line with the department's goals.

• Effectively manage and prioritise your own workload, supporting service efficiency and delivery.

Requirements

• Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

• Prior experience working in a hospital dispensary or a similar clinical pharmacy setting.

• Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• A car driver is preferred due to the nature of the role and potential site coverage.
