Exciting opportunity alert! We are seeking a Band 5 Ophthalmology Orthoptist for a locum position in Harlow, UK. This full-time role spans 3 months and offers up to £22 per hour. This role requires HCPC registration and that you be a car driver, enabling you to provide essential outreach services for preschool children's visual assessments and take part in community liaison.

What you will do:

• Maintain accountability for your practice and uphold your professional registration in accordance with the Health Care Professions Council requirements.
• Develop and manage community liaison and outreach programmes, specifically targeting preschool children's visual assessments.
• Spearhead the orthoptic department's educational services, offering training and guidance to trainee GPs, medical students, nurses, AHPs, and orthoptic undergraduates during their placements.
• Lead initiatives for research, service development, and enhancement, identifying key areas for improvement within the department.

The candidate should be HCPC registered and must also be a car driver.
