Location: Shaftesbury, Dorset
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + 10% Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (flexible start/finish)

Are you ready to lead a crucial role in shaping both the Health & Safety and Environmental direction of a growing organisation?

We are seeking an experienced SHE Manager to join the senior leadership team of a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business in Dorset. Reporting into the Operations Director and working alongside a team of 8 managers, this is a pivotal role with a wide remit across sustainability, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and manage Health & Safety and Environmental standards across the entire site – including machinery, plant, and transport fleet

  • Maintain and develop ISO certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

  • Lead accident and near-miss investigations; implement improvement plans to reduce incidents

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders

  • Champion the environmental agenda: carbon reduction, plastic tax, recycling, and sustainability strategy

  • Engage staff in environmental and health & safety awareness programmes

  • Represent the company externally through relevant industry groups

  • Manage SHE budgets and reporting via an internal CRM (Epicar)

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety / Environmental leadership role

  • Qualified in one or more: NEBOSH, IEMA, ISO 14001 / ISO 45001

  • Strong understanding of UK EHS legislation and sustainability practices

  • Effective communicator who can engage staff at all levels

  • Forward-thinking with a passion for both people and the planet
