Youth JusticeCase Manager – Trafford – £24.29 per hour – 6–9 Month Fixed Term Contract

Seven Social Care is currently seeking a skilled and committed Youth Justice Case Manager to join the Youth Justice Service in Trafford. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of young people by supporting them to avoid reoffending and engage positively with their communities.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Trafford

  • Contract: Fixed term for 6 to 9 months

  • Pay Rate: £24.29 per hour

  • Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role:

As a Youth Justice Case Manager, you will work with children and young people aged 10–17 who are at risk of or involved in the youth justice system. You will support them and their families to make meaningful changes that lead to positive outcomes, reduce reoffending, and promote community safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support and interventions in line with Youth Justice Board guidance, relevant legislation, and the core aims of the Youth Justice Service.

  • Manage a caseload of young people subject to pre-court disposals, Community Orders, or custodial sentences.

  • Work within a Restorative Justice framework using a trauma-informed and child-first approach, focusing on the individual needs and strengths of each young person.

  • Advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld within the criminal justice process.

  • Collaborate effectively with a wide range of professionals, including police, probation, education, health, social care, and voluntary sector partners.

  • Contribute to safeguarding practices by assessing risks, developing robust plans, and taking appropriate action to protect children and the wider community.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrable experience supporting children or young people in areas such as youth work, youth justice, social care, education, or safeguarding.

  • Qualifications: One of the following (or equivalent):

    • DipSW (Diploma in Social Work)

    • Diploma in Youth and Community Work

    • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)

    • Diploma in Probation Studies

    • NVQ Level 4 in Community Justice or Youth Justice Studies

  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS check and the legal Right to Work in the UK.

  • Driving: Full UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements).
