Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive Assessments & Interventions: Deliver holistic occupational therapy assessments and formulate tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and cognitive functioning.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work in close partnership with physiotherapists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care across various settings, including community hubs, intermediate care beds, and discharge pathways.

Service Development & Leadership: Contribute to service improvement projects, supervise junior staff and students, and engage in clinical audits and research to promote evidence-based practice.

Flexible Service Delivery: Provide therapy across Urgent Community Response (UCR), Care Transfer Hub, and Intermediate Care Bed Bases, with participation in rotational duties and weekend cover.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Professional Registration: Must hold current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.

Education: Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.

Relevant Experience: Demonstrated experience in rehabilitation or reablement-focused health settings.

Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to supervise staff and students, and effectively work within a collaborative team.

Clinical Competence: Sound knowledge of current clinical guidelines and ability to implement evidence-based practice.

Driving Requirement: Full UK driving licence to enable travel across multiple service locations.
