Position Overview

  • Opportunity to join the CAMHS Crisis Team in Oldham as a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner.

  • Provide urgent mental health care and support to young people in crisis within a supportive and collaborative clinical environment.

  • Flexible working patterns available, including full-time and part-time hours across a 7-day rota.

  • Shift options include 8am–8pm, 8am–4pm, and 12pm–8pm, allowing adaptability to suit personal commitments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver rapid-response interventions under the supervision of senior clinical staff.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop management plans for young individuals in crisis, utilising structured risk assessment and reduction frameworks.

  • Liaise with in-patient services and wider support teams to help avoid extended hospital admissions.

  • Formulate and implement holistic, safety-focused, recovery-centred care plans for young people and their families.

  • Work as a core member of a multidisciplinary team, delivering intensive support through both rapid and long-term intervention pathways.
