Site Agent in Scotland

VGC Group are pleased to be recruiting for Site Agent opportunities within the energy infrastructure sector are available across Scotland; including Orkney, Dounreay, Argyll & Bute, and along the West Coast. These locations offer large civil engineering projects building new substations to support Scotland’s energy development towards net zero.

Role: Site Agent

Location: Scotland – multiple locations

Salary: Depending on location & experience

Job Type: Permanent (open to contract)

Qualifications: Prior experience managing a section of a major project or acting as sub agent, CSCS card, and SSSTS.

Role Overview:

As a site agent, you will be responsible for managing, supervising and mentoring the project team, whilst setting a high personal standard of health, safety and environmental matters.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Uphold an exemplary level of health, safety and environmental standards
• Supervise, mentor and manage the project team as needed
• Adopt and maintain a professional attitude with clients and stakeholders to encourage repeat business
• Ensure site-based appointments are made with suitably trained and experienced staff
• Maintain communication between on- and off-site management
• Take a personal intertest in developing staff to their next level

Who we are looking for

• SSSTS
• CSCS – Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager
• Prior experience in managing a section of a major project, or acting as a sub agent
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
