These locations offer large civil engineering projects building new substations to support Scotland’s energy development towards net zero.

Location: Scotland – multiple locations

Salary: Depending on location & experience

Job Type: Permanent (open to contract)

Qualifications: HND in Civil Engineering, CSCS card, and SSSTS.

Role Overview:

As a site engineer, you will be responsible for setting out, supervising the assistant engineers and communicating with the management team to ensure works are on track.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Personal safety and environmental standards.
• Supervise assistant engineers.
• Set out accurately and clearly.
• Ensure drawings and documents contain sufficient, accurate information.
• Ensure a full understanding of the information provided by communicating with the foremen and gangers.
• Formally check setting out works.
• Keep an accurate daily site diary.
• Carry out testing/sampling of materials.
• Take receipt of materials and perform checks.
• Prepare 4 weekly programmes.
• Provide measurements for materials required.

Who we are looking for

• HND in Civil Engineering
• CSCS – Academically or Professionally Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager
• SSSTS
