Site Engineer in Perth

VGC Group - Scotland are pleased to be recruiting for Site Engineers for our client with work commencing within the Perth area. 

This opportunity would place you working with a company who are driven to consistently deliver trusted, professional and innovative civil engineering solutions for a varied and challenging range of infrastructure projects. 

Role: Site Engineer

Location: Perth

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Job Type: Permanent

Qualifications: CSCS card, Site Experience, and a valid UK Driving Licence.

Role Overview:

The Site Engineer will manage an efficient, cost effective and customer focused service by ensuring that the services supplied by the Company comply with legislation and client specification.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up and maintaining site control

• Ensuring compliance with works standards

• Review of Project Design and Specification

• Attend in-house progress meetings

• Daily liaising with Engineering Manager, Contracts Manager and Site Supervisors

• Direct point of contact between the client and the company

• Receiving and assessing design changes from the client

• Facilitate agreement of variations

• Ensure adherence with the company Skills and Competence Policy and Procedures

• Organising labour, plant, and materials for several projects

• Setting Out Sites and Organising Facilities

• Supervising Works

• Ensuring Projects Meet Agreed Specifications

• Liaising With Clients, Subcontractors and Other Professional Staff

• Checking and Preparing Site Reports, Designs and Drawings

• Providing Technical Advice; Problem Solving

• To attend Team Briefs

Who we are looking for

• CSCS card

• Site Experience

• Valid UK Driving Licence

• 1st Aid Appointed - preferable 

• HNC/HND Civil Engineering - preferable

• SSSTS - preferable
