We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker specialising in Learning Disabilities Team in Slough, UK.
This part-time locum position comes with an hourly rate of £37 to £38, providing flexibility and ongoing employment with full-time working arrangements. Nestled at Observatory House, Slough, and part of the prestigious Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities (CTPLD), this role offers the chance to make a real difference.

What you will do:
- Conduct Care Act (2014) assessments, risk assessments, and create support plans to identify and meet eligible needs.
- Carry out Mental Capacity Act (2005) assessments and make best interest decisions as required.
- Manage complex care and support cases, including reviews and safeguarding enquiries.
- Contribute to Continuing Healthcare (CHC) processes, including checklist completion and engaging in multi-agency discussions.
- Prepare and submit Community Deprivation of Liberty (DoL) applications.
- Collaborate with health and social care professionals to promote person-centred, outcome-focused support.
To excel in this role, you will be a qualified Social Worker ideally with experience in an Adult Learning Disability team and knowledge of the Liquid Logic (LAS) case management system. Expertise as a Best Interests Assessor (BIA) is highly preferred.
