What you will do:

- Conduct and lead comprehensive social work assessments.
- Manage a varied and demanding caseload, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members.
- Step in as an acting Team Manager when required for additional leadership responsibilities.
- Facilitate reflective practice sessions and decision-making processes.

This is a rewarding and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll lead on the delivery of high-quality assessments with the Statutory Assessment Team, focusing on Section 47 enquiries and consent-based Integrated Assessments. Upon completion, cases move to other teams—allowing you to focus on early, impactful intervention. You’ll handle a complex caseload, supporting colleagues through mentoring, coaching, and daily supervision. Additionally, you will step in for the Team Manager when required, gaining precious leadership experience in a nurturing environment. Your contribution will guide decision-making, promote reflective practice, and ensure interventions are strengths-based, proportionate, and focused on outcomes.
