Your Role as a Locum Dental Nurse
You’ll play a key role in supporting clinicians and patients across various practices. Typical duties include:
- Assisting dentists during a wide range of treatments and procedures
- Preparing and maintaining equipment, instruments, and materials
- Ensuring surgeries remain clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Following infection control and cross-infection protocols
- Providing reassuring chairside support to patients
- Maintaining accurate records in line with GDC and CQC standards
- Supporting the smooth running of the dental team throughout the day
What We’re Looking For
- GDC registration (essential)
- Previous experience in NHS or private dental settings
- Excellent chairside manner and attention to detail
- Knowledge of cross-infection control and decontamination procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to high clinical standards and ongoing CPD
