Key Details:
- Salary: £25,000 per annum OR minimum £100 per day
- Temporary long-term or fixed-term contract until July
- Clear route to teacher training or further SEN pathways from September
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, term-time only
- Located in North West London with excellent transport links (Tube, Overground, bus routes)
As a Graduate Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, your role will centre around supporting pupils with speech, language, and communication needs—many of whom have EHCPs detailing specific developmental targets.
Working closely with the school’s experienced SENCo, you will help implement tailored support plans, deliver structured interventions, and monitor progress across key areas such as expressive language, receptive language, articulation, phonological awareness, confidence-building, and social communication.
Daily responsibilities may include:
- Running small-group language interventions
- Providing one-to-one support aligned with EHCP targets
- Modelling clear, supportive communication strategies
- Helping pupils participate confidently in class
- Using visuals, signalong/gesture systems, and communication tools
- Supporting regulation and positive behaviour through structured routines
- Working collaboratively with teachers, the SEN team, and pastoral staff
