What you will do:

- Assess patients with bladder and bowel issues using evidence-based methods to provide excellent care.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Manage conditions such as urinary and faecal incontinence, constipation, and provide expert catheter care.
- Perform specialist investigations such as bladder scans, uroflowmetry, and pelvic floor assessment.
- Advise patients and carers on effective continence management, lifestyle changes, and pelvic floor exercises.
- Provide guidance on using continence products and appliances to enhance patient independence.
- Offer emotional support, demonstrating empathy and professionalism for sensitive issues.
- Work autonomously within the professional nursing scope to deliver high-quality service.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare policies.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement projects, and contribute to service development.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, students, and healthcare assistants in a supportive environment.
- Deliver training on continence care to healthcare staff and care-home teams for skill enhancement.
- Act as a clinical resource for GPs, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care pathways and outcomes.
