What You Will Do:

Leadership and Safeguarding Excellence:

  • Act as a Safeguarding Adult Manager (SAM), leading investigations and serving as an Independent Chair for safeguarding case conferences.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and professional supervision to social workers, support planners, and other staff.

  • Undertake specialist assessments and manage complex cases requiring expert oversight.

Quality and Assurance:

  • Lead on audits of practice, using findings to improve quality assurance and inform training and development initiatives.

  • Promote and embed high standards of professional practice across the service.

  • Support continuous improvement by contributing to the development of procedures and policies.

Mentoring and Development:

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff, including those on the ASYE programme and student social workers.

  • Contribute to training sessions and share expertise to build a strong, skilled workforce.
