Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Adults Social Worker to join the Assessing & Reviewing Team in the beautiful East Riding of Yorkshire. This ongoing locum role offers both flexibility and meaningful work, with options for part‑time or full‑time hours and a competitive hourly rate of £32.34.

You will support one of two specialist projects — the 1:1 Reviewing Project or the Direct Payment Project — each designed to improve outcomes for adults in residential care or those receiving direct payments. This role places you at the heart of delivering high‑quality assessments, reviews, and person‑centred interventions that empower individuals to live fulfilling lives. You will work collaboratively as part of a supportive and passionate adult social care team dedicated to positive change.

Key Responsibilities / What You Will Do

• Carry out comprehensive assessments of care and support needs for adults in residential care or those using direct payments.
• Review and evaluate existing support packages to ensure they remain aligned with individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and families to promote independence and improve quality of life.
• Maintain detailed and accurate case records in line with legal and organisational requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and deliver the most suitable support solutions.

Requirements / Candidate Criteria

Essential

• Qualified Social Worker with registration (e.g., Social Work England).
• Experience working within adult social care settings.
• Strong assessment, review, and care planning skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organisational abilities.

Desirable

• Experience in 1:1 reviewing or direct payment projects.
• Knowledge of local authority adult social care systems and processes.
