Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload involving Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Looked After Children (LAC), and public/private law proceedings.

  • Complete detailed assessments and produce high-quality reports for court proceedings and statutory reviews.

  • Chair key multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategic case discussions.

  • Operate proficiently within the Liquid Logic case management system.

  • Exercise professional judgement and autonomy in case planning, with support from regular reflective supervision.

  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure holistic and timely interventions for children and families.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with registration through Social Work England.

  • Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience within a statutory children’s services setting.

  • Demonstrable experience in child protection, safeguarding, and court-related work.

  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practices within child protection.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands.
