What you will do:

• Manage an allocated caseload, including handling complex and high-risk cases involving child protection, care support, and cases subject to court actions.
• Conduct thorough assessments and create tailored care and support plans. These can include education plans to effectively support the children and families involved.
• Collaborate with various services for optimum resource deployment, ensuring the best outcomes for those under your care.
• Implement Social Worker techniques to address individual needs while promoting positive outcomes through professional support and advice.
• Safeguard the welfare of at-risk adults and children, making crucial decisions to protect individuals from immediate harm.
• Participate in a duty system to respond to emergent cases with efficiency and discretion, aiding the team with immediate crisis responses.
• Mentor and guide team colleagues, new social workers, and students by sharing good practices and offering support and advice to aid their professional development.
• Engage in decision-making processes regarding best interest assessments, prepare court reports, attend courts, and chair pertinent meetings as needed.
